"Dawn" - Weaving by Katie Brown

$45.00

A Note From the Artist: Making woven wall art is a process that for me embraces whimsy. There is joy and playfulness in bringing together different fibers to create visual texture. I am especially drawn to including fibers and materials that capture and reflect light and bring shimmer and sparkle to my work.

Katie Brown is a fiber artist based in Delaware City, Delaware. After studying English Literature

and Art in college, she began her fiber arts practice in 2020. Her practice began with cross stitch

and moved to hand embroidery, then grew to include tapestry weaving, which led to a bit of an

obsession with wool, culminating in spinning her own art yarn for use in her fiber arts.

7”x7” Weaving. Ready to hang. Please note that computer monitors may impact the representation of color in a piece.
